 TECH MAHINDRA SIGNS CONTRACT
WITH AIRBUS
 Tech Mahindra signed a multi year contract with AIRBUS for cabin and cargo design
engineering.
 The main aim is to capitalize on the specialized skills and competencies in the
growing cabin engineering business over the next few years.
 AIRBUS motto will be to develop innovative engineering and digital solutions for Tech
Mahindra’s customers.
 FIFTH INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

 The international day of yoga is being observed on June 21st 2019.

 Yoga has gained widespread popularity ever since PM Narendra Modi announced the
establishment of the international day of yoga on June 21st 2015.
 PM Narendra Modi lead the celebrations of the occasion in Ranchi with 30000 people
participated in that main event.

CURRENCY LIBRA
 Facebook launches its own digital currency ‘LIBRA’, powered by blockchain technology,
for users around the world.
 Facebook’s ‘calibra’ digital wallet will let users save, send and spend libra with a
smartphone.
 The digital wallet expected to launch in 2020 will be available in Facebook messenger,
whatsapp, and as a standalone app as well

 Sri Lanka airlines named as the world most punctual airlines for the second consecutive
time with over 90 percent punctuality rate.
 This status was achieved by them second time in the 12 months.
 They tops the list of punctuality by beating 41 other carriers across Asia, Middle east, North
America, South America which includes most of the worlds prestigious airlines.

INTERNATIONAL TECHNEGROUP
 IT major Wipro acquired the international technegroup incorporated for
312 crores.
 International technegroup incorporated provides computer aided design
and PLC management software services.
 ITI was founded in 1983 and headquartered in Ohio, USA. ITI will going to
provide solutions to the wipro’s industrial and engineering service business.
RBI INFUSE RS.15000 CRORE INTO
THE ECONOMY
 ON June 13th RBI purchases 15000 crore worth govt. bonds RBI made the
decision after assessing the prevailing liquidity conditions and the slowdown
in the economy.
 RBI uses (OMO) open market operations for injecting liquidity into the
system through purchase of G-sec government bonds.

WORLD’S MOST VALUABLE BRAND
 Amazon becomes most valuable brand in cloud computing and consumer
tech.
 According to the Forbes top 100 most valuable brand in cloud computing
and consumer tech amazon online retailer sets its brand value quintuple in
last 5 years which becomes $315.5 billion
 Amazon expanded into grocery, healthcare, food delivery and with its
alexa devices even voice recognition amazon jumped from third to first
place beating google.
RBI APPROVED THE RAKESH MAKHIJA AS
CHAIRMAN OF AXIS BANK

 The independent director ,Rakesh Makhija was appointed as non executive

chairman of the bank for the next 3 years with effect from 18 June 2019 to
17 June 2022.
 In march board of directors of axis bank appointed the Rakesh Makhija as
the chairman subject to RBI clearance.
 Rakesh Makhija has held the various top management posts with SKF group
and TATA Honeywell group.
