• Rohtak Town lies at a distance of 75 kilometer


from Delhi towards its north – west on
National Highway No. 9 (Delhi-Hisar

• Building material market has been proposed in
sector 21 (special zone)
• Auto market and auto workshops in sector 18,

• Sector 38 and 39, a 400 mtr wide commercial
belt has been provided
• 100 metres commercial belt in sector 6, 28 , 37
• 70 Metres wide commercial belt have been
proposed in sector 34 & 35
• The requirement of land for Commercial
Rohtak Map activities in IMT shall be provided in the IMT
Proposed Commercial Area itself by the developing agency.
PROPOSED INDUSTRIAL AREA
Rohtak as it has enormous potential of
industrial development.
• Maruti Udyog, Asian Paints, Footwear Design
and Development Institute etc are coming up
Industrial Area within this industrial area
• Industrial sectors of an area 2000.60 hectares
have been provided towards east and west
• New Sector has been provided towards east for
setting up of Industrial Model Township (IMT)
north to NH-9 viz of the City.
• Setting up IMT, oil and food grain–based agro-
industrial units
• A large scale mother industrial unit in addition
to the Automobile industry long NH-9, NH-

• Sector 20 is an industrial area developed by
Industries Department.

PROPOSED TRANSPORT AND COMMUNICATION AREA
• An area of 2067.34 hectares (Including roads)
has been provided.
• Transport Nagar has been proposed near Asthal
Bohar railway station. Sector 25-A, 25-B and
Sector 25C has been proposed near railway
station for railway siding, loading unloading
New Bus Stand platforms, yard , inland container depot, weigh
bridges, FCI Godowns, Fuel storage, pipe
lines, storage of heavy building material
• New Bus Stand already exists in Sector-6
• Road reservation of these roads has been kept
Transport nagar as 60 metres with 30mts green belt as V -2
road
• Road reservation of 75 meter’s with 100 mts
green belt on both the sides as V -I road where
as Bye pass for village Kheri Sadh (On
National High way- 9) & Village Dobh (on
V1 Bhiwani Road) with road reservation of 60

supply, grid sub- station, and disposal works

• Sector 22C has been reserved for public utility
purposes
• Public health Department for Disposal works
near village Singhpura Kalan
• Additional sites in sector 15, 20, 20-B, 21B,
22C, 25-A, 26, 27-C, 37, 38 & opposite to
sector 37 and 33 as well as sites near southern
bye pass (village Simli), between JLN &
Sonipat road, Jind Road & opposite to sector
20 have been proposed for water services
• Solid waste disposal an area of about 20
hectares has been proposed along drain No.8 in
Rohtak Map sector 21-B
• Addition to land reserved For IMT towards
north east of sector 33 on Sonipat road.
PROPOSED PUBLIC AND SEMI – PUBLIC USES
Town has high potential for higher and
technical education
• Sector 26 B, 27B have been reserved for
institutional purpose between NH-9 and Delhi-
Rohtak railway segment.
• An area of 1503.00 hectares has been
proposed for this use in sector 5 part, 6 part, 7
part, 21B part, 25-A part, 27-D part, 29 & 31
in addition to 150 Metres wide strips in sector
20- B, 21-C, 21-E, 22A, 25-D, 39.
• 1 acre land of cremation ground in sector-31
• Maharishi Dayanand University and Post
Graduate Institute of Medical sciences Campus
in sector 15
• Police, Jail, Defense & Educational Institutions
have been proposed towards south of Southern
Rohtak Map Bypass for an area on about 590 hectares to

NATURAL CONSERVATION ZONE

354 hectare (112.9 hectare under Water Bodies and 241.1 hectare under
notified Forest) area in the notified controlled areas around Rohtak town falls
under Natural Conservation Zone which has been shown on the Revised Draft
Development Plan-2031AD
