Technology Integration Survey

The purpose of this survey is to analyze the use of technology during


instruction. This survey analyzed results from 30 respondents.

The majority of responders teach in A large number of respondents have


an elementary school setting (86.2%). been teaching 20 or more years
Middle school and high school had the same (36.67%). Half of all respondents have
amount of responders at 6.9% each. been teaching 1-11 years.
The Importance of Technology

Half of all respondents feel technology is a very important


component in the classroom. Each respondent felt as though
technology at least has somewhat of an importance. No one
believed technology use was not important at all.
Technology Use
• An overwhelming amount (90%)
of respondents use some form of
technology everyday in the
classroom.
• Out of 30 respondents, only one
user limits technology use to 1-2
times a week. With the growing
push by schools to utilize
technology, it makes sense why
teachers are using it daily.
Types of technology

The majority of respondents (86.67%) have access to iPads,


followed by laptops (50%), desktops (46.67%), and
Chromebooks (43.33%). Many respondents have access to
more than one technology type within the classroom.
Types of Technology
• While a large percentage of respondents
have access to many forms of technology,
utilize all resources available. The most
common form of technology used is iPads.

• Aside from Mac Books, the least used form


of technology is desktops.

• This analysis is surprising due to the fact


that 46.6% of respondents have access to
them.
Using applications independently

Many respondents fell


good to very good about
learning how to use new
applications without
assistance. Only 10% of
respondents do not feel
completely confident in
learning new applications
independently.
Integrating Technology

• Many respondents feel comfortable


in their ability to integrate some
form of technology into their
instruction (86.21%).

• A small portion of respondents


(13.79%) do not feel very confident
in their ability to integrate
technology.
Proficiency

When asked about the respondents overall proficiency with


technology, 96.55% answered with 3-5 stars. This shows the
majority of respondents feel comfortable using technology
and learning and utilizing new software.
Improvement
• Almost all respondents believe their
school offers ample opportunities to
improve in proficiency and the
integration of technology.
• This supports the average feeling of
ability to integrate technology. Schools
are offering opportunities to help
teachers improve.
• This may relate to why so many teachers,
teaching 20+ years, feel comfortable.
They are given the support needed to
improve and better understand
technology.
