 At Kona, we're all about the freedom and empowerment of the bicycle.
We have been since 1988. We still have the same founding owners. We're
still populated by a staff of keen, active, impassioned cyclists. We're not
big, nor are we that small. Just a dedicated group of cyclists making
bicycles for people who love bikes-no matter if that love is new or long
established.

 We believe in the motto “Go big or go home.” With the carbon Operator,
we went big, so you can go faster. This is the racehorse of downhill bikes
that crushed World Cup downhill tracks all over the world in 2018
underneath Connor Fear on. With the ability to run 29” or 27.5” wheels,
adjustable chain stay lengths, and an adjustable reach, it’s fully
customizable to your liking. Whether you’re racing your local downhill
track, slaying laps in Whistler, or standing atop the World Cup Podium, the
Operator and the Operator CR are the ultimate downhill machines.

OPERATOR CR FEATURES

 KONA CARBON: Designed to be lightweight and built to demanding

standards. Carbon fiber has long been praised for its weight and strength,
but rather than chase grams, we place our efforts on the performance
that is possible when the right high-modulus fibers are in the right places
 INTEGRATED HEADSET: Integrated headsets are simple, light and effective
headset systems whereby the bearing race cups are actually part of the
head tube. Like an internal headset, an integrated headset also reduces
stack height, so the height of the stem and bars are more adjustable,
giving the rider the best fit possible.
FEATURES

 TUBELESS COMPATIBLE RIMS: Tubeless rims allow for tires with more puncture
resistance; the ability to run lower tire pressure, which provides better tire
grip on the trail; lower rolling resistance; and weight savings over traditional
tube and tire systems.
 BEAMER INDEPENDENT SUSPENSION: Built to be off-the-top progressive,
Beamer Independent Suspension helps the bike to stay higher in the travel
and recover from hits more quickly.
OPERATOR FEATURES

 KONA ALUMINUM: Kona Aluminum alloys are used extensively throughout

our fleet of mountain and asphalt bicycles. Kona deliver tough, durable,
light alloy,and reliable performance that lasts for thousands of rides.
 INTERNAL HEADSET: Bearing cups are actually pressed into the frame and
are easily removable. An internal headset also reduces stack height, so
the height of the stem and bars are more adjustable, giving the rider the
best fit possible.
 27.5" WHEELS: The benefits of the 27.5-inch wheel are simple: they roll over
obstacles and track better than 26-inch wheels, but are more
maneuverable and nimble than 29-inch ones.
FEATURES

 TAPERED HEAD TUBE: More girth at the bottom of the head tube better
distributes shock force, prolonging the bearing life of the headset itself and
eliminating brake shudder, while providing confident steering
performance. The inherent strength of its triangular design also means a
stronger steering position and improved balance, giving the rider more
control in rough terrain
 BEAMER INDEPENDENT SUSPENSION: Built to be off-the-top progressive,
Beamer Independent Suspension helps the bike to stay higher in the travel
and recover from hits more quickly.
WARRANTY

 *Register within 3 months of purchase to increase warranty from 3 years to

lifetime of the original owner (with exception of carbon frames).
 The Kona lifetime warranty is in force for models built in the 2009 season
and onward. For models older than this please check your included
owner's manual for specific limits on the time the warranty is in force.
 If you have a problem with your Kona bike or frame, please CONTACT
YOUR KONA DEALER FIRST. They are best equipped to service your Kona
bike and handle claims if your bicycle or frame has manufacturing
defects.
