Objectives
• To predict Liquid Loading in gas wells.

• To compare between a loaded and unloaded well so as to determine those factors

which results in loading of the well.
INTRODUCTION
1 What is Liquid Loading?

2 Reasons for Liquid Loading

3 Effects of Liquid Loading?

4 Importance of Multiphase flow

Multiphase Flow Concept
Multiphase flow in a vertical conduit is usually represented by four basic flow
regimes
BASICS

• Bubble Flow: The tubing is almost completely filled with liquid. Free gas is
present as small bubbles
• Slug Flow: Gas bubbles expand as they rise and coalesce into larger bubbles,
then slugs. Liquid phase is still the continuous phase
• Slug-Annular Transition: The flow changes from continuous liquid to
continuous gas phase. Some liquid may be entrained as droplets in the gas
• Annular-Mist Flow: The gas phase is continuous and most of the liquid is
entrained in the gas as a mist.

Phase II-Artificial Neural Networking
Phase 2 – Why and how do we intend to do
it?
The objective of this study is to predict future production
values using past data as input. NAR model will be built for this
purpose and will ideally predict values with 60-70% accuracy.
The predicted values will then be compared with the Coleman
rates and liquid loading days will be evaluated.
