PDA/GPS usage. Will need to enforce compliance.
■ Operational manager will need to manage operational aspects of one
person trucks. Will need to coordinate large team.
Cost-benefit analysis

■ The change management strategies can cost around $19,800 if implemented this
year. Benefits includes:
1. Increased productivity
2. Increased efficiency and speed of services
3. Increased sales and market share
4. Attractive to customers
■ If not implemented there are no benefits.
Risk analysis

■ Following are the risks identified


1. Lack of trust regarding use of productivity data. Refusal to
implement.
2. Refusal to implement one person per truck policy.
3. Industrial action

Strategies to mitigate risk
■ Communications and training to specifically address issue and allay
fears.
■ GM/ other managers to attend training to demonstrate manager’s
commitment to truckers.
