 GENESIS OF THE VIDYALAYA
Kendriya Vidyalaya, Khammam, a co-
educational institution, run by Kendriya Vidyalaya
Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of
Human Resource Development was established in the
year 2007. It started functioning in its office in
temporary accommodation provided by district
authorities in 2007, but now functioning in Permanent
Building in Poleppalli village and 934 GTS land in our
possession. The land has been provided to KV by the
Government of A.P.

Kendriya Vidyalaya,Khammam firmly believes

that a true education implies all-round development of a
child and so besides academic excellence stress is laid
on many co-curricular activities- such as games and
sports, scout and guide, drawing and painting to name
a few to stimulate the latent talents of the budding
citizens of India. The organization primarily aims at
physical, mental and spiritual development of every
child. It also envisages to flourish as a pace setting
educational institution by imparting updated quality
education and inculcating the feeling of oneness and
Indianness among our students.
