 Wish
We use “wish” to talk about things that are
impossible, or things that probably won’t
happen:

O I wish I could fly

O The fact is “ I can’t fly”
O I wish I have wings
O The fact is “ I dont have wings”
 Hope
We use “hope” when there is good chance
thet something might happen. You can use it
to say what you want to happen in the future.

O I hope we can still be friends

O I hope i can go abroad
Note *
If you want to use "I hope" and "I wish"
correctly, you just need to memorize these two
phrases:

yet. In this example, you havent heard whether

O I wish it would stop raining.

*you follow “hope” with the present tense of a

verb, even when you are talking about the
future. So you say “I hope its stops” instead of
“I hope it will stop”.

Mary : yeah I know! I hope it’s not too hard. I really want to be
admitted.
John : me too. We”ll just have to do the best we can.
