PROBLEMS

• Lack of ownership among representatives at lower levels, they were hesitant to move toward
the executives for issues
• Prices of Penicillin began falling when plant was settled
• Political improvements in Czechoslovakia at the time and problematic experience of the
collaborator lead to postpone in setting up the plant
• Expanded rivalry in residential and global market, Chinese manufacturers multiplied their
generation in 1996
• Project was basically supported through borrowing. Cost of their venture was expanded from
1,930m to 3,500m
SOLUTION

• Handed over the senior executives of the organization to Murali Ranganathan

• Revelation by the BIFR as the organization as wiped out gave temporary help from financial recuperations

• Begun the turnaround procedure of the organization internally, which notwithstanding:

Reduction in the cost generation

Realization of Penicillin-G and other downstream items

Revival of the morale of individuals

Company arranged 'one-time settlement' of borrowings with financial foundations

Managing outside partners

• Monthly meeting was started to screen the presentation of the organization
