To work on the project, you will have three options.

Choose the one that you find the most interesting.


OPTION 1: You will become a storyteller and tell the class a love story.

1. Choose a love story. It can be one of your own creation, or one that you have seen in a
movie or read in a book.
2. Start the story introducing the characters.
3. Tell the story using phrasal verbs. BE CAREFUL with the grammar.
Which verbs are separable, and which ones are not?
You have to use the simple past and present perfect, too.
4. When you finish the story. Tell the class if you agree or disagree with the characters’
decisions (Use the expressions to disagree politely in page 53).

DO NOT FORGET:
Use vocabulary and grammar in Unit 4.
Use some visual aids like posters, ppts, pictures, etc. BE CREATIVE!
Avoid reading. You can have some notes in pieces of paper. But only write key words, do
not write whole sentences.
Tell your story with EMOTION! to catch the audience’s attention.
OPTION 2: You are a tour guide. Give the class information about amazing countries to visit
and what their customs are.

1. Choose two or three countries with interesting or strange customs.


2. Describe for the class what is appropriate/respectful/polite/etc. in these countries.
3. Be ready to answer. The audience will ask you questions about culturally appropriate
behavior (page 67)
4. Use Present and Future Time Clauses to give advice about the customs in these countries
(grammar in page 74)
To improve your presentation, you can use expressions in the World Bank in
page 75/ Activity 6.
DO NOT FORGET:
Use vocabulary and grammar (infinitives/gerunds) in Unit 5.
Use some visual aids like posters (like the ones in page 69), ppts, pictures, etc. BE CREATIVE!

Describe the countries clearly and with enthusiasm. You have to convince the audience to
visit these places.
OPTION 3: You are the owner of your company. Present what your company is about, and
what products it offers and how you are planning to advertise them.
1. Think about what your company will be about and what products it will sell.
2. Present the company for the class, its slogan and perks (use the vocabulary in page 79).
3. Be ready to answer. The audience will ask you questions about your company and you
have to emphasize important points (expressions in page 81)
4. Present some of the products your company offers. Explain how/where they are
produced (Use the Passive Voice - page 82)
5. Explain the pros and cons of the products. Give a solution for the cons of the product.
6. Explain how you will advertise your company and products. Show one or more examples
of the flyers or brochures.

Present your company with enthusiasm. You have to convince the audience to invest in
your company.
You can send your drafts until January 23rd.
You presentation must last from 6 to 8 minutes.
