 Falguni Nayar, the
Founder and CEO of
Nykaa is a graduate of the
IIM, Ahmedabad.
 She was born and raised
in Mumbai.
 She worked for Kotak
Mahindra Capital Co. for
18 years and left in 2012,
she was the managing
director.
IDEA GENERATION
After leaving her job from Kotak Mahindra Capital Co. as looking
for business opportunity in India, she noticed a huge gap in the
beauty products market in India.
She noticed that the demand was on the top but there were very
few places to get the genuine beauty products.
So she launched Nykaa with her banker husband Sanjay Nayar.
ABOUT NYKAA
A Mumbai based multi-brand Indian e-commerce beauty retailer,
founded in the year April 2012.
• Nykaa offers over 80,000 products across 700 brands on its
online portal.
• Currently Nykaa has 35 offline store.
• It offers beauty and wellness products along with a blog that
provides make-up tips.
• It is basically targeting customer through niche marketing
strategy, specially the upper middle class society and more
specifically on women and also partly men with an age range of
18-50 years.
