Child Rights is made by the United Nations
Convention on the Rights of a Child.
Who is a child ?
--- Any person below the age of 18 is
considered as a child.
UNCRC - United Nations Convention on the Rights of
a Child.
42 rights for a child 12 rights for parents and
Government to follow for the upbringing of the child.
 Practically understand your rights.
 Learn about the law designed for you.
 Be exposed to issues that concern
children.
 Visit and meet systems in the city like
police unit, child welfare police
officer.
 A RIGHT IS SOMETHING THAT IS
NEEDED BY ALL HUMANS TO LEAD A
HAPPY AND A HEALTHY LIFE . THEY
CANNOT BE TAKEN AWAY FROM
THEM AND HENCE ARE CALLED
‘INALIENABLE’.
 Children have 4 groups of special rights as
they need more protection than adults.
Also their needs are different than adults.
In India, a child is anyone below the age
of 18 years.

RELIGION IS, WHETHER THEY ARE
A BOY OR GIRL, WHAT THEIR
CULTURE IS, WHETHER THEY HAVE
A DISABILITY, WHETHER THEY ARE
RICH OR POOR .
Neglect is a form of abuse
where the Perpetrator, who is
responsible for caring for
someone who is unable to
care for themselves, fail to do
so.
Exploitation is to exploit someone and to
take unfair advantage of them. It is to use
an other person’s vulnerability for one’s
own benefit. There are various types of
exploitation such as sexual, labour,
Domestic, servitude, forced marriage,
child soldiers, forced criminality, organ
harvesting.
Harm is physical injury to a
person or an animal which is
usually caused on purpose.
Types of Harm: Financial,
Physical, Psychological, Sexual,
Neglect, Self-harm.
Bullying is an unwanted,
aggressive behavior among
people that involves a real or
percieved power imbalance.
Types of bulliying are verbal,
social, physical.
