WALL THICKNESS MODULE

We Engineer

1. Performs calculations as per ASME B31,3 ; B31,4 ; B31,8.

2. Determining Allowable Stress from a 833 materials database Automatically.

3. Determining Quality factor E from 16 pipe manufacturing types Automatically.

4. Determining Available nominal thicknesses and pipe Schedule automatically from the calculated one.

5. Checking Conditions : (D/t > 6) and (T_manufactor > t_min).

6. Displaying Pipe weight per length and interior available volume.

7. Checking the pipeline criteria interface with API RP 1102, Elastic Bend, UPHEAVAL BUCKLING.

WALL THICKNESS MODULE

We Engineer
09

Elastic BEND MODULE

We Engineer

1. Module calculations are perfermed as per ASME B31,8.

2. Generates the minimum required bending radius.

10

UPHEAVAL Buckling MODULE

We Engineer

1. Checking stability : Req_Down_Force <= Weight of pipe + Soil Resistance.

11

BUOYANCY CONTROL MODULE

We Engineer

1. Calculations are performed as per Concrete Pipe Handbook, 1988, by the american Concrete Pipe
Association.
2. Principle : The Downward forces ( soil and pipe ) should be greater or equal to the upward buoyant force.
12

API-RP 1102 MODULE

We Engineer

1. Highway and Railroads calculations are included for the

uncased type.

2. All code graphs are automatically generated.

3. All code coefficients are automatically generated.

4. Materials-Database : API-5L.

5. Generating time : Less than 0,1 s

13

PIPE SUPPORTS SPACING MODULE

We Engineer

1. The calculation was developed based upon equations contained in section 6.2 of Pipe Stress Enginnering
published by Peng Engineering. The calculation is applicable only for uniform pipe without any attached
concentrated weight, such as valve.
14

VALVE ORIFICE SIZING MODULE

We Engineer

1. The calculation was developed based on AWWA M51 ( American Water Works Association).
2. Valve Orifice Sizing Module is composed from 3 Sub-Modules :

LIQUID PIPELINE FILLING RELEASING GASES UNDER GRAVITY DRAINING

PRESSURE
15

BURIED PIPELINE MODULE

We Engineer

This method is developed for the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association.

- The module determines the stresses experienced by a buried pipeline as a vehicle

traverses the pipeline at the surface.

- It primarily uses the gross vehicle weight, size of footprint and the pipeline depth of
cover to calculate the load experienced at the pipeline depth.

- The calculated load is used to determine the corresponding circumferential and

longitudinal stresses produced in the pipe.

- The stresses caused by external load are combined with the circumferential and
longitudinal stresses present under normal operating conditions in order to determine
the equivalent stress experienced by the pipeline.
16

BURIED PIPELINE MODULE

We Engineer

The module is capable to calculate three pre-loaded vehicle types :
