What is a Worst Point Photography?

A Worst Point Photography(WPP) is the Photography used in

improving the workplace condition by taking the photographs of
areas / Points which worst in condition. Unlike the FPPs, they cover
small and highly focussed area and improvement comes in one shot.
Therefore, it is quick,drastic and has to be done in stage giving two
photographs, one Before and the other After. It is thus taken up as a
Project. One can continue to monitor the improvement achieved by
taking this in FPP.
Like the FPP,the after stage photograph is of a Shining Example of
2S.

What is a Fixed Point Photography?

Fixed Point Photography(FPP) is the Photography used in improving

the workplace condition by taking the photographs of areas from a
fixed point, at a fixed angle and at a fixed interval.FPP can continue
post improvement for checking the sustenance.

Therefore, FPP is series of photographs to achieve a systematic

arrangement, generating a Shining Example of 2S.

The Stages are generally,

1. Before Red Tagging - a cluttered work area,
2. After Red Tagging - Unnecessary items identified,
3. Red Tags removed meaning unnecessary items removed,
4. Systematic arrangement has started,
5. Systematic Arrangement - completed - 2S Shining Example
developed.

Some Details:
Each Stage there is a “Before” and “After” Photograph.
For initial photograph no before and for the final stage there is no
after photograph.

How to interpret the Photographs?

Conditions of Before and After show the same status;

If Final Stage; relates to sustenance.
In Early Stage; it is a Concern
Conditions of After are better than Before;
Good / Improving ;Sign of Improvement
Conditions of Before are better than After;
Matter of great Concern; sign of Deterioration

Important Characteristics of 2S Shining Examples

• No unnecessary Items at the workplace

• Systematic Arrangement of all necessary items; such that,
- All items have prefixed location
- Items are easy to take and return
- All items have identification
- No searching and no asking is required
- It is possible to pick up items in one touch
• Things have easy access; the surrounding is not cluttered.
• After improvement to 2S some Mistake proofing is done so that the
improvement is sustained
