BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Davao City generates an average of


1,012 tons of trash a day but daily
collection would only cover 292 tons.

The landfill’s capacity is only between


700,000 to 800,000 tons but due to the
City's fast piling-up of garbage,it has
already reached the maximum capacity
level of 900,000 tons.
