- Verbals are words formed
from a verb but function as a
different part of speech.
- In other words, verbals look
like they are verbs. But sorry,
they really function as NOUN,
ADJECTIVE, or as ADVERB.
- A gerund is a verbal that ends with
–ing and functions as a noun.
Form:
To learn is important.
- to + write = to write (infinitive)
