of the Lord of the harvest!
Psalm 31:19 New International Version (NIV)
19 How abundant are the good things

that you have stored up for those who fear you,

that you bestow in the sight of all,
on those who take refuge in you.
God's goodness is infinite

endless Bottomless
Limitless Unlimited
 the good things

“You” have stored up

for those who fear you,

on those who take refuge in you

blessed is the one who takes

38 Therefore pray the Lord of the

harvest to send out laborers into
His harvest.”
 Considering this picture just causes
Christ’s heart to ache.

Notice verse 36 again. “When he saw the

crowds, he had compassion for them…”

This gives us a beautiful view into the

emotions of our Messiah.
 He turned to his disciples and explained the
situation. “The harvest is plentiful…”

Though the harvest is plentiful, Jesus exposes a problem.

“ The harvest is plentiful, but the

laborers are few.”
How sad!
Plentiful harvests are no good when
there is a lack of laborers. It is a waste
of a good opportunity.
