STEWARDHSIP
By: Group 4
A Yolanda victim becomes a hero
Alexis Romero

It was midnight of November 18 when a

pediatrician named Sheryl Ann Roque helped a
baby girl named Janelle suffering from acute
pneumonia. Dr. Roque immediately give the
baby a treatment after the mother of the baby
asked for help. Navy officials thanked Roque for
her heroic deed and even called her “Yolanda
hero”. The doctor said that she was still grateful
to save the baby’s life.
What is Stewardship?
It is the call to respond to the needs of
others before thinking of one’s own
welfare
The Feeding of Five Thousand
Jn 6:1-13
- In the Gospel, Jesus shows the meaning of stewardship. He was
tired from preaching, healing and attending to the people who
need his help, yet when He saw the crowd will not have anything
to eat and it was getting late, He provided food for them.
Stewardship: Jesus’ Concern for
the Welfare of Others
Jesus took the form of slave in order to save human
kind.
In a way of crucifixion, Jesus saved us from our sins
and it shows his great concern for our welfare.
-Jesus loves us, to the point that he set aside His
own convenience and comfort for our sake.
As Jesus' disciples, we are called to
follow his footsteps. We cannot claim
to be true followers of Christ if we
cannot give ourselves for the service of
others. For nowadays, the interest of
others over our own personal interest is
not so popular today.
The examples of stewardships:
a) In our own family, stewardship means thinking of ways
to lighten the load of our parents who have to attend to all
our needs.
b) Listening to friends who are lost and lonely.
c) as citizens of our country, stewardship is shown in the
simple act of obeying laws.
Stewardship: Persons for others
and for the Environment
Stewardship entails
responsibility for oneself, for
others and for the
environment
• Responsibility for Oneself
- It is the responsibility to realize our potential, to develop talents,
and contribute good to human kind.
- Assuming the responsibility for one's growth in all aspects of life.
• Responsibility for Others
Our local bishop reminds us that “nobody is too poor that he has
nothing to give”. Which means that we all have the capacity to give,
rather than material help it could be love, care, attention and
presence.
• Responsibility for the environment
-It gives us the food we need,It provides us the materials for our
shelter, the air we need to breathe and the water we need to survive
- The earth and everything on it is God's gift to us,we donot own
them, they are loaned to us by God so that they will continue to benefit
future generations.
My Faith Words:
CLIMATE CHANGE:
- A long-term change in the earth’s climate,
especially a change due to an increase in the
average atmospheric temperature.

of God’s Creation
