• Objective: To acquaint the UG students with intricate
knowledge of all modes of transportation and develop
basic understanding of the principles of operating
modern airport, railway and coastal systems
• Outcome: Transportation engineering focuses on safe
and efficient movement of people and goods
facilitated with rails, air and water transports. Through
lectures and discussion students would not only know
about all modes of transportation but also will be able
to understand the elementary parameters of interest
in transportation means and their effect on
performance of existing systems
