INTRODUCTION
• Indian Culture prevent are reluctant to discuss sexual matters.

• The lack of school based sex education programmes.

• Juveniles Misperceptions about sexuality expose to risky sexual behaviour.

• Media exaggerates sexuality.

• Insufficient knowledge sex.


• Sex Offence by Juvenile - participation in - Rape, Molestation, and Sexual
Abusive behaviour
• Higher proportion of youth arrests - due to the influence of media.
• National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) reveal that from 2005 to 2015, - 143
% Increase rapes by juveniles.
IMPORTANCE OF THE STUDY

• Understanding - direct and indirect involvement - perception on

sex and committing sexual crime.

• Knowledge and progress - gender prejudice and Crimes

• Awareness on precautionary measures - Sexual Crime.

• Scientific / empirical understanding - Offenders and Victims

• Alter the view - Sexual Crime.


OBJECTIVE.

• To study the perception of Juvenile on sexuality and

reproductive health,

• To measure the influence of media upon the

perception of Juvenile on sexuality and reproductive

health and consequences.


RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
STUDY DESIGN AND SAMPLE
• Borstal School of Tamilnadu - 649 inmates.
• The Juvenile - 27.11% who commit Sex Crime
• Census Method.
METHODOLOGY
• This cross-sectional study
• Mid-2015 to early 2017 @ Borstal Schools of Tamilnadu
• Standard scheduled interview method
• Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS)
• Simple Statistical tools such as Cross-table, percentage and Chi-
Square are used for interpreting the data.
LIMITATIONS OF RESEARCH

• Indian culture .

• Biased information due to fear of Legal complication .

• Restriction of video and Audio recorder .

SUGGESTIONS
• Media provide adequate exposure of hard core violent sex
• exaggerates the sexuality of both male and female.
• Magazines and Newspaper provide pictorial exposure of
sexuality - imprinting the images on the minds of juveniles.
• Media - modifying attraction of Juveniles towards certain types
of outfit of the opposite gender - as a sex object.
• Government and local bodies - monitor - media.
• Media - through vigorous censorship in publishing sexual
contents.
• Every individual in the society - measure - to minimise sexual
drive exposure.
