Group No: 23, Roll No 17183 Introduction. The Tet Offensive. First indo-china war. Second indo-china war. At the time of colonial system, south east asia a big region was under the control of France. South east asia included Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. These colonies were mainly influnced by two civilization one was India and another was china that’s why that region called as indo- china. Vietnam was called as French indo-china. It was a military attack done by north Vietnam on south Vietnam. The aim was to capture the Saigon and attack the north Vietnam and US army embassy. They were not successful in their aim because Us bombing the city and all the city were destroyed. But it cause great economic impact on North Vietnam and Us Army. It was happened in 1946-1954. The war was lead by Ho Chi Minh, it was against the France and Japanese. Ho formed a party called Vietminh, He also formed National liberation force. They teach their army a Gaurilla warfare. They attacked on Dien bien Phu, fortified camp of France and they annexed it; in 1954 This war fought between the north and south Vietnam. North Vietnam was supported by China and USSR, and South Vietnam Was supported by USA and France. This war came to end in 1975 and saigon the capital of South Vietnam, Saigon was under the control of NLF and renamed as Ho Chi Minh.
