a. Issues and concerns addressed in the Text;
tensions, problems and contradictions being
discussed

god saw it fit to create something out of

nothing. There was emptiness, so God decided to
compensate to it through His creations.
b. Initial assumptions, perceptions, coming from own
experiences and contemporary setting regarding the
issues and concerns raised in the text.
“Life is like a painting, and every day, you add something to it. Each day
is another splash of paint to add to it.” This perception is taken from the idea of
God molding his creations day to day for a total of six days.

“In the beginning, everything was already planned considering the fact that God
is all-knowing. Every time He created something, there was satisfaction, for He
called them good.” This perception is taken from the idea that God is Supreme,
thus explains how He always works with purpose and certainty with no hint of
doubt.
Initial assumptions, perceptions, coming from own
experiences and contemporary setting regarding the
issues and concerns raised in the text.
God existed before all creation. He is the Supreme Being, the root of
all life and creation.
• Perfect •Powerful
• All-knowing •Supreme/Omnipotent
• Sovereign •Loving
• Artistic •Omniscient
what does the text say about the nature of human
beings (strength, weaknesses, traits, potentials,
gifts, etc.?)
• Made in the image and likeness of God, but without inheriting
His perfect nature
• Through our inheritance of His image and likeness, He granted
us dominance over all His creation.
• Although patterned with God’s image and likeness, His
supremacy remains His alone and we still remain under His
Greatness.
what kind of relationship is being revealed between
God and Human being? Between and among other
peoples?
• Man as sons and daughters of God through the connection that
was established during creation
• The provider
What issues and concerns in the community and larger society could also
be being addressed and illumined by the issues and affirmation of the
text?
The text affirmed that God’s creation was perfect. Though we consider ourselves
perfectly made because we have been part of that plan, we still cannot escape the
imperfection brought about by our humanity and how we are, in many ways, different and
cannot equate to God.
However, we, today, as communities joining together as one, still strive to protect and
preserve what He has made in spite of the current environmental issues – such as global
warming and deforestation – that keep threatening to destroy His perfect world.
These issues have risen because of humans and not of God
In spite of everything, God still sees the effort we make and helps us by way of
protecting us from or during calamities and by allowing trees and plants to still grow in
abundance once planted by our hands.
What truth claims and issues in the text could also be addressing your own
individual concerns as a believer? As a community/ society at large? How would
you as citizen in a nation, and the society respond to that claim truth in the text?

God has a purpose for everything, and that includes all of His creations. It is because
of His purpose that we may see it fit to make it both our right and our responsibility as His
people to protect and preserve it.
However, because we are all independent thinkers with different beliefs, clusters of
conflicting perspectives are bound to arise. Doubters, agnostics and nonbelievers still exist
among us believers and are as equally free to articulate their own thoughts regarding the
issue. Scientific and objective theories such as the Big Bang and String Theory have been
formulated in an attempt to explain the birth of world we now know today, but despite all the
evidences gathered to support these theories, a clear, concrete source for it all is still
unknown – and thus leads us back to God.
