GLOBAL WARMING

Shriya Prabhakar
WHAT IS GLOBAL WARMING?
• Global warming is the long-term rise in the average temperature of the
Earth's climate system. It is a major aspect of climate change, and has been
demonstrated by direct temperature measurements and by measurements
of various effects of the warming.
HOW DOES GLOBAL WARMING IS
CAUSED ?
• Man-induced Deforestation: Deforestation is the cutting down of trees...
• Fossil Fuels: Pollution whether it is vehicular, electrical or industrial is...
• Landfills: When we throw garbage out of our house it goes to landfills .
• Overpopulation: Another cause of global warming is overpopulation .
HOW CAN WE PREVENT GLOBAL
WARMING?
• There are simpler ways in which we can prevent global warming. Offsetting
your carbon footprint can be an effective method: You can plant trees and
shrubs in your garden to help offset your carbon. Trees and other vegetation
help to reduce the effects of global warming by converting carbon dioxide
to oxygen.
