1.What is supply chain management?
1. Supply chains are the network’s of firms and business activities that are required to
design,prepare,deliver and use of products or service.
2. Supply chains is the network of organisations that are involved through upstream and downstream
connections in the various processes and activities that generates value in the form of products and
services in the hands to the final customer’s
.

2.What is physical distribution?
1. Physical distribution is concerned with the set of activities consisting of
efficient movements of finished goods from the end of the production
process till the consumer
2. Physical distribution is defined as:Handling, movements, and storage of
goods from the point of its origin till the point of its consumption or use
via various channels of distribution
3. As the name itself tells as the distribution which includes wholesale,retail,
marketing and the physical movement of the goods
4. It takes place within wholesaling and retailing distribution channels

warehousing,storage,and communication.
2. It bridges gap between producers supply to consumers demand
3. Physical distribution management-is employed in manufacturing and
commerce to describe the broad range of activities (like
freight,warehousing,material handling,protective packing, inventory
control, selection of site for various activities,marketing,forecasting)
