Sense Relations

Sense relations refer to the semantic relationships between words, such as synonymy (same meaning), homonymy (same sound but different meanings), polysemy (multiple related meanings of one word), hyponymy (hierarchical subclass relationships), and antonymy (opposite meanings). These relations are based on the degree of similarity or difference between the meanings and senses of words. The document provides definitions and examples of each sense relation to illustrate how they are distinguished based on the semantic relatedness or opposition of word meanings.
