 Cam follower bearing

SKF cam followers are based on either needle or

cylindrical roller bearings.
Instead of an inner ring, they have a threaded solid
stud (pin).
These cam followers are also known as stud-type
track rollers which are used in various other systems,
for e.g Conveyers

Should accommodate high radial loads.

Should be able to accommodate axial loads.

Mounting on shafts should be easy and hassle free.

The thick-walled outer ring enables high radial

loads, while reducing distortion and bending
stresses.
The flange rings enable cam followers to
accommodate axial loads that can occur because of
skew or tilting.
Long service life and they can also be re-lubricated.
There are three basic designs manufactured by SKF
in various sizes for different load magnitudes.

Performance and operating conditions : These bearings are

heat stabilized up to 140 degree C
To attain full operational life, the conditions should not
exceeded the limits provided by manufacturer
A lithium based grease with mineral
base oil having a viscosity between 100-200 mm2/s
These bearings are available in various sizes
Limiting speed : 6000 rpm
Self-locking nuts and washers should be used in case of
heavy vibrations
Hexagonal nuts are provided for attachment
