has a larger than life presence in
India and when it comes to fashion,
the industry has been most
influential.

Today, even with so much


exposure, most Indians take
inspiration from B-town celebrities.
TRENDS PREVAILED IN 1960’S –
1970’S
SAIRA BANU
“Saira Banu” was the ultimate
style queen of Bollywood .
She introduce eye makeup and
“glamour's hairdos” to the
industry.
“Metallic” eyeshadows , “saree”
and “embroidered capes” were in
fashion.
SADHANA SHIVDASANI

The “Sadhana Cut” became a fashion


cult in India.
The actress who was spotted with
fringes in her debut film Love in
Shimla in the '60s .
The “Body-hugging sleeveless,

continued to influence Indian couture. Whenever a
Bollywood star dons a style, it becomes revolution for
the entire county and followed like a rage. This impact is
caused basically due to fact that Bollywood clothing is
designed by leading fashion designers. They design
these clothes after taking into consideration the latest
international fashion trends and Indian styles.
