 FAILURES OF AMIITABH BACHCHAN

• Before he tried to get in Bollywood he was rejected by All India Radio station because of
his voice.
• He was rejected during his first few auditions because he was too tall.
• He had to spent many nights in Marine drive when he first came to Mumbai.
• He delivered 12 consecutive failures before his big break in Zanjeer.
• In the 80s because of his injury and illness, he was forced to take a hiatus from film he
later regretted.
• After almost 4 years of box office failures he had to go to semi-retirement in 1994.
• In the 90s his venture into films production almost failed, living him bankrupt.
• He was apparently reduced to asking Yash Chopra for a job.
• He had a short lived career in politics resigning because he could not fulfil his promises.
• He was allegedly a 15 year press ban during his peak acting years by stardust and other
