CLINICAL FINDINGS.
DEFINITION.

It’s a sudden progressive form


of respiratory failure
characterized by severe
dyspnoea, refractory hypoxemia
and diffuse bilateral infiltrates.
ARDS is a sudden progressive
form of acute respiratory
failure in which the alveolar
capillary membrane becomes
damaged and more permeable
to intra vascular fluid.
