 This paper focuses on how technology can improve the
overall performance of warehouses.

 The Internet of Things (IoT) is a system of interrelated

computing devices, mechanical and digital machines,
objects, animals or people that are provided with unique
identifiers (UIDs) and the ability to transfer data over a
network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-
computer interaction

 In today’s world automation is the way forward. Automation of
warehouses through internet of things (IOT) will enable us to
improve time management and efficiency of the warehouse

 . This study will contribute to identify gaps that exist in warehouses

here in Pakistan compared to the warehouses around the world
like Wal-Mart and Amazon. The study will not only help us
understand the difference the technology has created for
warehouses of giants organizations like Amazon and Wal-Mart but
will also help us to move towards the automation for the betterment
of the whole supply chain management here in Pakistan
