Common Rules
Classroom Rules

• Bring materials to class

• Do not interrupt the teacher unless its an emergency
• Be polite to others
• Do not engage in talking during instruction wait till you start
working on the activity
• If you need to use the restroom do not ask just sign out and
you may go.
• Ask questions
• Etc.

 PREREQUISITES
• Students should be able to perform basic algebra, (distribution, factoring, etc.)

• Students should be able to plot points on a coordinate plane

• Students should be able to perform the quadratic formula

 ATTENDANCE/ MAKE-UP WORK
• Students will need to attend daily class sessions to understand the material

• Students will be marked tardy if after 5 minutes of the bell ringing they are not seated

• Excused Absences must be turned in to the front office

• Make-up work can be scheduled by notifying the teacher

• If you plan on being absent during a test or quiz NOTIFY the teacher to arrange a make-up
day
 CELL PHONE POLICY
• Cell Phones should be on vibrate or silent during class time

• If you are expecting a call NOTIFY the teacher before class begins

• If you are on your phone during class and miss instruction it is your responsibility to get the information
you missed
TESTS/ QUIZZES/ HOMEWORK
• Test will be given after every unit is completed
• Review for tests will be the day prior to test day
• Tests will include questions from homework and quizzes

• Quizzes will be given to asses what is learned after every 2 sections

• Homework will be given 2 times a week and both turned in at the end of the week
 GRADES
• Grades can be checked through Infinite campus and are updated weekly

• Students will be notified when grades began to drop below a 70%

• You will have till the end of the quarter to turn in missing work with half the grade to receive points
 ASSISTANCE
• Always ask questions in class

• Tutoring is available in the tutoring center locate in Room 1302, Mon-Thur. afterschool

• Tutoring is available with the teacher in classroom afterschool Tues. & Thurs. from 2:30 pm- 4 pm
(Tutoring Hours may change according to teacher)
