identity?
Gender is something beyond two sexes (male and female) , it’s
something very personal. at present where world is growing at fast pace we need to identify a
person by their talent , instead of how they perceive themselves or what there sexual
preferences are . society has constructed barriers of what a male or female should do. from
childhood onwards we have been taught that a boy will play with cars and a girl will play with
dolls , ever asked why ? Why a boy can not play with dolls and a girl can not ride cars ? not only
toys but costume orientation also begins at very root level , pink frock for new born princess and
a blue suit for little prince . Due to these teachings of parents which are totally inappropriate
and illogical ,it becomes so difficult for a child to come out as who they really are in front of
them and pressure of fitting into there mould ( fitting a cube into a sphere) leads to deep
psychological effects . Norms or rules such as good girls stay at homes and a men who
disrespect girls roaming around are macho , makes this society even worse to reveal our own
identity . yes , our true gender defines a part of our identity , but the social norms that comes in
two group of sexes male and female definitely do not defines identity of a person . It’s a
personal choice to appear , to behave feminine or manly . to love male body , female body or
both . to stay as a male , female or any other they choose.
ASK CHILDREN TO BE A GOOD PERSON 1ST AND LET THEIR GENDER BE THERE CHOICE THEN.
