 Background
 Suddenly, DIVER 1 surfaces, yells “Help!” weakly and

 Set Up
 Begin the scenario with DIVER 1 and DIVER 2 on the

surface, with DIVE GROUP snorkeling on the surface

about 100 metres/yards away. DIVEMASTER is at the
entry/exit point.
 Continue the scenario through exiting the water and
first aid until you are asked to stop.

By the end of this rescue scenario, you should be

able to:
1. As part of a team or as an individual, demonstrate
an effective rescue for a simulated unresponsive
nonbreathing diver at the surface, including
inwater rescue breathing, equipment removal (if
and as appropriate), exit, first aid and contacting
emergency medical care.
