 Background
 Suddenly, DIVER 1 surfaces, yells “Help!” weakly and

1. As part of a team or as an individual, demonstrate
an effective rescue for a simulated unresponsive
nonbreathing diver at the surface, including
inwater rescue breathing, equipment removal (if
and as appropriate), exit, first aid and contacting
emergency medical care.
