Independence
I can statement
I can determine the central idea of texts analyzing the text for style, purpose,
content, and form.

I can analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the structure of texts and how those
author’s choices contribute to the persuasiveness or effectiveness of texts.

using a formal tone and having come prepared to present.

Statement
The United States Declaration of Independence, the Mexican
Declaration of Independence, and the Vietnamese Declarations of
Independence were all critical documents that attempted to state that all
of the people have unalienable rights.
Tone, Diction, and syntax on united states declaration of
independence
Tone: The tone that thomas jefferson portrayed in the declaration of independence is
serious, because it states the unalienable rights about people. The effect is that thomas
jefferson is supposed to be taken seriously.

Syntax: The sentences that are used are declarative because, there are many statement in the
declaration. The effect of using these types of sentences are, people feel like they are truly
free because of the statements.

Diction: Jefferson uses a descriptive style of writing to describe the details of the
declaration of independence and the statements that he put in the declaration of
independence.The effects of this style of writing have is a sense of security behind the
Tone, Diction, and syntax of Mexican declaration of
independence
Tone: The tone of the Mexican declaration of independence is restrained because it states
the struggles of its people being oppressed for three hundred years. The effect that this has
is a sense of sympathy for what has happened in the past three hundred years.

Syntax: Agustin uses a decorative style of writing. One example that portrays this is “The
heroic efforts of its sons have been crowned today.” The effect that this brings is a sense of
accomplishment or achieving something.

Diction: The diction of the Mexican declaration of independence is literal, because in the
Mexican declaration of independence agustin only uses words that don’t have any other
meaning than its intended use. The effect that this brings is that the text is supposed to be
taken seriously.

Tone: The tone of the vietnamese declaration of independence is serious because it states all
the unalienable rights of the people of vietnam. The effect is that this text is supposed to be
taken seriously

Syntax:The type of sentences used are declarative because there are statements in the
vietnamese declaration of independence. The effect of the declarative sentences is that there
will be a change according to the statements.

Diction: Ho chi minh uses a persuasive style of writing because he states all of the things
that has happened to vietnam and their people in the past. The effect that this presents is
sympathy
Reflection

presentation we communicate ideas by telling our classmates our own opinions and takes
with the declarations of independances. In this presentation recognizing perspectives is used
by reading the declarations of independences from the perspective of the mexican,
vietnamese, and united states declaration of independence's.
