Introduction:
 The Airbus A380 is the world’s
largest passenger plane.

 This super jumbo jet can

carry up to 853 passengers.

 The development of new A380-

900 could carry up to 900
passengers in economy-only
configuration.

 A380 is installed with the very
latest technology.
Aim of producing Airbus A380:

 Carry more passenger

 Frugality with fuel consumption

 Has more comfort

 Reducing the weight of the aircraft

 Significantly reduced noise

 Reduce the maintenance cost of aircraft systems
Material used to build A380:

The materials used in Airbus A380 is particularly innovative

which reduces the weight of the A 380 by 800 kg.

About 25% of the A380 is made up of composites

About 22% carbon fibre reinforced plastics
 About 3% of “Glare”
Environment Friendly Aircraft:

 It burns 17% less fuel per passenger

compare to Boeing 747

 The A380 is the first aircraft

produces only about 75g of CO2 per
passenger kilometer which is less than

compare to a diesel car
Environment Friendly Aircraft:

 The better take-off

performance and lower
approach speed reduce
departure and arrival
noise
The fuel consumption
of A380 is very low fuel
which is less than 3
Figure 4: Fuel efficiency of Boeing 747 and Airbus A380 (Airbus) liters per passenger per
100 kilometers.
Economics of Airbus A380:
 A380 can carry a huge number of passenger
 The seat-mile costs is 15 per cent lower than today’s most
efficient aircraft
 The A380 will offer passengers luxury travel at much more
affordable prices
 Research program could create more job opportunities
 Airbus A380 provides a new way to cope with air traffic
growth
Future of Airbus A380:

Airbus is always committed to build aircraft which is most

advance and environment friendly. Airbus has successfully set up
an innovative Environment Management System aimed to
improve the environmental performance of the aircraft. To make
this possible it successfully complete a test flight by using liquid
fuel from gas (Gas to liquid) to evaluate the impact of alternative
fuel.
Conclusion :
 The A380 represents the continuation of a long line of
technologically advanced Airbus aircraft and introduces a
step change in performance, comfort standards,
environmental friendliness and efficiency.

Airbus A380 is a real world solution for the cleaner, quieter

and smarter way to fly for its levels of efficiency and
environmental performance.
