System Description
SCS is a set of cabling and connectivity products that
Integrates the voice, data, and security systems like
Access control, cctv,BMS etc.
Horizantal cabling : Connects IDF to Telecom outlets.
Backbone cabling : Connects IDF to MDF.

Shielding has been added for individual wire pairs and the cable
as a whole (600MHz/1000MHz)
Cat 8/8.1/8.2
Category 8 copper cabling will do for the data center is let them transport data four
times faster on essentially the same type of cable they now use (1600 MHz -2000MHz)
Common Cat6 cable types include

Fiber Testing :
1.Optical power meter test (Click for vedio)
2.OTDR – optical time domain reflectometer test
QTEL/OOREDOO STANDARDS:
1. Materials shall be manufactuerd under ISO 9000 quality
control.
2. 3 service providers and one spare- SINGLE MODE FIBER.
3. All wall-mounted DBs (Distribution Boxes) must be installed
at least 1.2m above the finished surface level.
QTEL/OOREDOO STANDARDS:
1. Cable span between Patch Panel and Socket shall not exceed
90m in length.
2. The minimum bending radius, expressed as a multiple of the
overall cable diameter shall be 20 times overall diameter for
Single Mode fiber cables And 4times for copper cable.
3. As a minimum requirement, the power measurement
shall be taken between the ODF, located in a Telecom
Room (TR) and the FTB (Fibre Termination Box) at 1310,
1550 and 1650nm after installation. A copy of the test
results is to be provided and left with the installation
documentation and certification.
QTEL/OOREDOO STANDARDS:
1. All CAT6 spans must be continuous - middle joints are not
allowed.
2. All elements of internal wiring must be labelled properly
3. For all outlets supplying power for any telecommunications
service, the use of UPS is the recommended back-up powering
option.
4. Fire Resistance – Plenum Cables - Internal cables shall meet the
applicable fire codes. For cables used in building plenum
locations, these plenum-rated wire products shall meet the
requirements of UL-444 Flame
