FINANCIAL SERVICES IN RURAL
MARKETING
• Financial services are the economic services provided by the finance
industry, which encompasses a broad range of businesses that manage
money, including credit unions, banks, credit-
card companies, insurance companies, accountancy companies, consu
mer-finance companies, stock brokerages, investment funds, individual
managers and some government-sponsored enterprises.
• Financial services companies are present in all economically developed
geographic locations and tend to cluster in local, national, regional and
international financial centers such as London, New York City,
and Tokyo.
FINANCIAL SERVICES IN RURAL AREA

• Rural financial services are nowadays concerned with a variety of


services including not only agricultural lending but lending to farm
households for non-agricultural production and consumption
purposes, loans made to non-farm rural firms, rural savings deposit
services and other financial services such as insurance.
• Even as FMCGs have penetrated rural markets in a major way and
there are over 600 million mobile subscribers around the country,
only 40% of the population still holds bank accounts.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
• To know the role and importance of Regional Rural banks in
Agriculture & Rural Development.
• To know the customers awareness of the financial services
• To study the marketing strategies of financial services in rural areas.
• To know the various sources of financial information that customers
get.
• To understand the facilities given by the financial services for making
payments in rural area.
