ND OF THE
STUDY
Concrete block are used widely in infrastructure, various types
are used for multiple purposes. Hollow blocks have been shown to
be of higher uniform consistency, greater longevity, quick
building speed and lower labor costs compared to conventional
bricks. Hollow blocks are gradually being used in different
building practices despite these advantages. Other tasks include
loading bearing walls, interior walls, panel walls, retaining walls
and compound walls, but not limited to those.
Growing problems caused by the disturbing number of plastic and
cardboard wastes, studies were performed to learn possible ways
of successful reuse. The use of plastic and its use as a building
material are of prime importance in this sense. Using plastic
Aggregates as a partial substitute in concrete for the coarse
aggregate can provide sustainable solution for plastic waste
disposal.

RESEARCH
PROBLEMS AND
HYPOTHESIS
The Research will focus primarily
in developing more durable Green
blocks to improve construction
materials like the concrete blocks.
This would also be used as an
instrument to lessen plastic
wastes such as Polyethylene or
PET bottles and Polystyrene
together with Cardboard wastes.
In addition, the Research will also
compare if the created products
are more durable than
commercialized concrete blocks.
Thus, this study sought to answer the following
questions stated below. Specifically, the study aims
to address the following questions:

01 02
What are the evaluation of What are the levels of
Greenblocks after the Durability of the
compression tests? Greenblocks through the
compression test?
Thus, this study sought to answer the following
questions stated below. Specifically, the study aims
to address the following questions.

03
Is there a significant
difference in terms of
durability and strength
between Greenblocks and
Commercialized Concrete
Blocks?
The Researchers also formulated
a hypothesis in correlation to the
research questions: (1) If the
blocks passed the compression
test, then the process and
materials used are effective in
developing durable concrete
blocks. (2) If the blocks have
passed the level of durability,
then the Greenblocks are
advisable to be used as a
construction material. (3) If the
durability and strength of
Greenblocks are more feasible
than the Commercialized
Concrete Blocks, then it is certain
