Night Auditor
Front office accounting records must be checked for
accuracy, summarized, and compiled on a daily basis for the
hotel’s financial records. Traditionally, these tasks are
conducted at the close of the business day during the hotel’s
night shift. This process is referred to as the night audit, and
the employee handling these tasks as the night auditor.
Relationships:
Reports to the front office manager or to the
accounting department.

Basic Function: To ensure the accuracy and balance of
front office accounting records and prepare summaries
of financial data on a daily basis.
