So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a

one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the
place with flesh. Then the LORD God made a
woman from the rib he had taken out of the man,

“This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my

out of man.” That is why a man leaves his father
and mother and is united to his wife, and they

the temple of the Holy Spirit, which the
Christian has become.

1. One of the fastest growing sins today is

homosexuality
a. Powerful groups in our society are promoting it -
Gays and Lesbians - media bias (Politically Correct)
b. This is not a new sin, but what is new is the way it
has become so accepted today.
c. The Gay-Liberation movement has sought to gain
approval for homosexuality as an “alternative” and
normal life style.
 One of the fastest growing sins today !!!

d. Many politicians and famous people are in

support of this life-style. (President) (Those who
oppose “I respect their opinion”) It has become
politically correct to support and defend the
gays and lesbians.
e. Our society is trying to get all people,
including Christians to believe this way of life is
acceptable
 Young people being indoctrinated
 The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith
states that homosexual activity goes against the
natural law and scripture. The natural law holds
that natural sexual inclination is directed toward
members of the opposite sex while the scriptural
verse of Genesis 19: 1-11, the story of Sodom and
Gomorrah, denounces homosexual activity.
Genesis 19 - Sodom - Wickedness caused God to destroy them

“But the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinful against
the LORD.” Gen.13:13

“which the LORD overthrew in His anger and His wrath.” Deut. 29:23

“Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like
manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after
strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance
of eternal fire.” Jude 7

“…making them an example to those who afterward would live

ungodly” 2 Pet.2:6-8
Tribe of Benjamin - Judges 19, 20 and 21 = corrupt
 They defended the homosexuals
 “Go up, for tomorrow I will deliver them into your hand.” 20:28
 26,000 men - after the battle they had only 600 survivors

Lev. 18:22 “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an
abomination.”

Lev. 20:13 “If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of
them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to
death.”
 God has always forbidden homosexuality – both in OT and
NT

 God has always punished those who do such things

 God will always punish those who practice this sin

 Any sin can be forgiven if the sinner repents

Is It Normal ?
 Claim they were born that way - should accept

NO ! It is not normal !
 God would be Creator of what He condemns
 1 Cor. 6:9-11 had been but were justified
 Rom. 1:26 “which is against nature”
 God created us male and female
Is It a Sickness ?
 Compare it to a disease or sickness

NO ! It is not a disease

“no evidence whatsoever of any genetic causes for

homosexuality.” – Dr. Ted Evans, Psychologist, UCLA

God does not condemn the sick, He does condemn

those who are sinners
1. Some who advocate
homosexuality declare it to be a
sickness or disease
2. There is no evidence to prove this
3. We know it is not a disease,
because God does not condemn
people who are sick, but he does
condemn those who are sinners.
And homosexuality, just like all other
sins in the Bible, is condemned
Is It a Sin ?
 Yes ! God Calls it a sin
Those who do not repent will be lost - Man can
repent of any sin - Luke 13:3

“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit
the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither
fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor
homosexuals... will inherit the kingdom of God.”
1 Cor. 6:9-10
A. Cannot accept it or tolerate it
1. The Bible condemns it and so must we
2. Some religious groups are accepting
homosexuals into their fellowship -
allowing them to continue in their sinful
life style.
B. Call it what it is
1. The Bible calls it sin
2. They like to call it “alternate life style”
3. But in reality, they are in bondage to
C. We have to warn others about the

1. It is a threat to our children
2. It is a threat to our nation - Prov.
14:34 “Righteousness exalts a
nation, But sin is a reproach to any
people.”
3. It is a threat to the sanctity of
marriage.
“Have you not read that He who made them at the
beginning 'MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE”

 God calls for repentance of all sinners

 Homosexuality can be forgiven

 Love the person but hate the sin

 Stand up for what the Bible teaches !

Persons with homosexual
orientation are God’s children just
like all of us are.

Engaging in homosexual act is

sinning against God and
homosexual union is contrary to
God’s plan of procreation.
Homosexual persons are called to
a life of chastity.
