management and what are topics which we
have to deal while going through entire study
of management.
TYPES OF APRROACHES:

 1) EMPERICAL OR CASE APPROACH-This method


analyses management by studying experience through
cases.

 2) INTERPERSONAL BEHAVIOUR APPROACH:-In


this we study about relationship of individual because
management is process which involves thing done
through people.

 3) GROUP BEHAVIOUR APPROACH:-This


approach is mainly associated with the study of group
behavior rather then individual.
 4) COOPERATIVE SOCIAL SYSTEM APPROACH:-
this is study based on both interpersonal
and group behavior study.
 5) SOCIO-TECHNICAL SYSTEM APPROACH: in
this we study about how technology
influence personal attitude and group
behavior.
 6) DECISION THEORY APPROACH –it is
believed that since management is based on
how to make a decision and it is central
approach
 7) SYSTEM APPROACH-in this we study about system
and sub system. system includes planning system
,organizational system, and control system.

 8) MATHEMATICAL OR MANAGEMENT SCIENCE


APPROACH-in this we study about mathematical model
which provide a powerful and logical tool for
simplifying and solving complex problem

 9) CONTINGENCY OR SITUATIONAL APPROACH-it takes


into account not only situations but also the influence
of given solutions on behavioral pattern of organization

• Every business is encircled by a web of laws , rules and regulation,
not only on the national level but also on the state and local levels .
these laws are designed to protect workers , consumers , people ,and
property rights.
ECONOMICAL FACTORS

• Economical factors play a very important role in business

• The action of the political and government leaders do


change with social demand and beliefs . Government enacts
the rule that may promotes the business by providing

SWOT analysis
• The technique is credited to Albert Humphrey, who
led a convention at Stanford University in the 1960s
and 1970s .

• SWOT analysis is a strategic planning method used


to evaluate the Strengths, Weaknesses,
Opportunities, and Threats involved in a project or in
a business venture.

• The aim of any SWOT analysis is to identify the key


internal and external factors that are important to
achieving the objective
• Internal factors – The strengths and weaknesses internal to the
organization.

• External factors – The opportunities and threats presented by the


external environment to the organization.

• Strengths: attributes of the person or company that are helpful to


achieving the objective(s).

• Weaknesses: attributes of the person or company that are harmful to


achieving the objective(s).

• Opportunities: external conditions that are helpful to achieving the


objective(s).

• Threats: external conditions which could do damage to the


objective(s).
USES OF SWOT analysis
• SWOT is used in any decision-making
situation when a desired end-state (objective)
has been defined.
• SWOT analysis may also be used in pre-crisis
planning and preventive crisis management.
• SWOT analysis may also be used in creating a
recommendation during a viability
study/survey.
• Another way of utilizing SWOT is matching and
converting.
