MISSION
• We believe that the PIH Spiritual Ministry must facilitate
spiritual growth among the staff and loving deeds towards
those who are suffering in the community

• We believe that we emulate the love of Christ that he

showed by helping those who were afflicted. We must also
carry out acts of mercy using available resources towards
the needy especially those who are on ARVs but they are
struggling to find nutritious food due to poverty, families of
those who are on Palliative care, and HIV/AIDS Support
groups.

TRUE LIFE STORY
There is a certain man in one of Tigwirane Manja Support Groups (name
withheld), he was a Brick-Layer by profession. He has been on ART for some
years. One day he was hit by a car as he was crossing a road. Now he is
paralyzed from the waist. He can no longer work in his profession since brick-
laying needs able bodied individuals. This man is now struggling financially,
mentally, and physically because ARVs requires a proper diet. His situation is
dire and it seems hopeless. This story is common among many people in the
PIH catchment area.

This is where Hand of Hope Humanitarian Ministry through the PIH Spiritual
Life Ministry can step in and offer a helping hand in coordination with
Tigwirane Manja Support groups, PIH Palliative Care Team, and PIH Spiritual
Ministry to change tragic stories to success stories. We must find a way of
offering a helping hand to the afflicted to lift them up and help them have an
independent and self-sustaining happy life.

1. Providing training to support groups to develop self-
sustaining skills.

2. Providing equipment for farming, capital for small-scale

business investments, and advice for group members to
support themselves and other group members.

3. Developing mentoring, discipleship, and counseling

programs for people in the support groups for them to
live a life of courage and hope.

4. Evangelism to those who are on Palliative Care in a gentle way
to lead them to salvation.

5. Providing short term/ emergency needs such as food, prayers,

and any spiritual support to the infected and affected.

6. Developing Fund-raising programs to assist the afflicted. We

will have a Chapel donation basket to collect cash and
materials from those who are willing to support others. We will
also receive donations from different well-wishers who want to
support this humanitarian ministry.
