How to Tie a Shoe

Chrisshawna Ferguson
Why Do People Tie Shoes?
• Although all shoes don't require tying...shoes need to be tied for
safety reasons. If the laces were left dangling, the individual wearing
the shoe could trip and fall. Or in the rare case it could get stuck and
be very dangerous (Final Destination)
• Tying a shoe is also a comfortability thing. It determines how tight
or how loose a shoe can be.
• Put the shoe onto your foot.

Step 1:
Put it on
• Grab both of the shoelaces.

Step 2:
Laces
• Take the laces and cross them (it
doesn't matter which one is on
top)

Step 3:
Crossing
• Fold the back lace into the
triangle you created while
crossing the laces...
• Grab that lace from the other
Step 4: side and pull both laces as tight
Tuck and or as loose as you want it.

• Make a Bunny Ear with both
laces, they shouldn’t be too big
or too small.
Step 5:  • Once holding both loops cross,
tuck, and pull tight like Step 4
