Design a product, service or initiative to promote preparedness and improve resilience so
communities can overcome challenges caused by natural disaster or catastrophic events
and recover more quickly
Customers and the Problem They Face
● Adults who own a house or apartment
● East Coast United States residents

● They face the destruction of their belongings and home due to

natural disaster
● They aren’t able to bring all of their valuables with them
during evacuation
Innovative Idea and How it Works
● Moving trucks gather a person’s belongings and move them
to a safe place
● National number or registry that people can have the trucks
come pick up their valuable items
● Moved to a safe storage unit out of the way of disaster
How Idea Solves the Problem
● Items that they would regularly not be able to save due to
lack of space, will be saved
● Promotes preparedness in the face of natural disaster
● Reduces the amount of money family have to spend on the
recover after disaster.
How Idea is Different From Others
● No other companies moving furniture and items of value for
families out of the way of imminent disasters
● We are a non-profit organization that is funded by the
government
