HYUNDAI ROLLS OUT NEW
LOOK SANTRO
 South Korean automobile maker Hyundai on Tuesday launched the all new
Santro in India starting from Rs . 3,89,900 (ex-showroom).
  The company had invested about $100 million (about Rs . 700 crore ) in the
past three years for the development of the new Santro.
 The new car is powered by a 1.1 litre petrol engine. The company claims it will
deliver a mileage of 20.3 km/ litre. Besides manual variants, an automated
manual transmission (AMT) version of the car will be available. The company
will provide the option of factory-fitted CNG.

HCL TECH Q2 NET

 HCL Technologies has reported a 14.81% growth in its consolidated net profit for
the second quarter ended September 30, to Rs. 2,534 crore and expressed
confidence in meeting the revenue forecast of 9.5%-11.5% for the current fiscal.
 The firm, which has registered a net profit of Rs. 2,207 crore in the year-ago
period, saw a growth of 19.5% in revenue to Rs. 14,861 crore in the quarter (Rs.
12,434 crore)
TVS MOTOR POSTS FLAT NET
 TVS Motor Company reported a lower profit after tax (PAT) of Rs. 211.3 crore for
the second quarter ended September, 2018, down from Rs. 213.2 crore in the same
quarter the previous year.
 Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) stood Rs.
428.2 crore ( Rs. 362.6 crore), a growth of 18.1%.
 The profit before tax was Rs. 306.2 crore against Rs. 296.8 crore in the year-ago
quarter, which included a notional fair valuation gain of Rs. 31.7 crore for the
quarter ended September 2017.
BMW TO RECALL1.6
MILLION CARS
GLOBALLY
 BMW said it was expanding a recall to cover 1.6 million vehicles worldwide due to
possible fluid leaks that could result in a fire.
 BMW said in some diesel vehicles, coolant could leak from the exhaust gas
recirculation module, part of the emissions reduction system. The leaks could
combine with soot at high temperatures and lead to a fire.
 The recall covers some vehicles made between 2010 and 2017.
