Why is Baldwin LightStream upgrading facilities?
 Copper plant is nearing end of life
 Coax plant has been in since early 1980’s
 Fiber optics provides the bandwidth customers need for online
gaming, streaming content, using smart home devices, medical
monitoring devices and more
 Fiber optics increases the value of your home by approximately
3.1%
 Fiber technology can easily evolve to meet the needs of the
future
Directional Drilling
Machine will be
used to install all
mainline fiber ducts
Where will the fiber optic cable be placed?
The underground fiber optic utilities will usually be buried in the same
location as the current copper and coaxial cable at the back lot line.
A new drop will be buried from the back lot line to the pipe that has
been installed in preparation for the fiber.
Customers will need to inform Baldwin LightStream if they have:
 Private utilities
 A sprinkler system
 A dog fence

Diggers Hotline does not locate these items.
