• What is the significance of this image in the context to India ?

 It all started with an idea…

An idea to establish a Quiz Club and start a Quizzing Culture in Jamia

 In 2015;

The Club was formed under the aegis of Md. Samir Alam.
Soon that year, the Membership Quiz for the club MEM-BRAIN
was organised
The Club ran informally with the voluntary efforts of its’ members.

regular basis.

 In 2016

The TALIMI MELA QUIZ 2016 was held under the

DSW Office. It was a huge turnout, with seasoned Quizzers from all
over the DQC (Delhi Quiz Circuit) participating in it.
 In 2017;

Samir, Ashish & Arsalan represented Jamia Millia Islamia

in 32nd AIU Youth Fest

held at CSJMU, Kanpur & ended being the runners-up.

They represented the North Zone in the National Finals &

ended up being the Finalists there too !

 [Achieved more than 50+ accolades]

A record for any Quiz Club in Delhi of achieving such a huge

no. of accolades in a year !

Such as TATA Crucibles, TAPMI Qotb, Mahindra AutoQ

etc…
 Infact most of the Quizzes (actual Quizzes !!) in

Jamia had been conducted by the club’s members in different departmental

fests over the time.

 In 2019;

Himanshu, Manish & Manas represented Jamia Millia Islamia

in 34nd AIU Youth Fest

held at Panjab Univresity, Chandigarh & ended being the runners-up.

They represented the North Zone in the National Finals &

ended up being the runners-up in the Nationals there too !

This was the first ever National medal of JMI in a decade

Quiz is all about connecting different things from different spheres,

and working out the answer.

There has been always a common notion among people regarding –

It is about General Knowledge. It’s not. Both are completely different.
Infact the latter is a very small part of the former’s domain.

Knowing something is nothing than just a mere piece of information.

Using the information, knowledge & applying it is the essence of
Quizzing.
 Summing up our Journey
