Is Lithuania safe to live?
Lithuania ranks 25th place in the world of safety, which is not that bad.
So, Lithuania is generally a safe country. The crime levels are on par
with those in the USA. However, unlike the USA and many other
countries, Lithuania has no unsafe districts or ghettos and the crime is
spread fairly evenly.
Which city is safest?
• The municipalities with least crime in 2017 were the towns of
Skuodas and Kretinga.
Most dangerous places?
• The highest amount of serious robbery / plundering per 100 thous
population was in Kaunas and Klaipėda.
• The highest amount of crimes per 100 thous population in 2018 there
were in the town of Kalvarija, Klaipėda, Kaunas, Palanga.
