Reason for choosing the client

This client is hard to dress due to his being

unfamiliar with men’s dress. As well as, Aaron
has a hard time fitting his shoulders and arms
in typical T-shirt’s. He is also shorter than
most and has trouble with length for pants. He
also does not know how to put items together
based off his body type.

Summary- Molly Fralick

I feel that working with the client was more relaxed and Aaron had a good understanding on
what he liked and disliked. What was pretty knowledgeable about his sizes and what works and
does not works on his body. However, was stuck in either being on either end of the spectrum
being too dressy or too casual. He also liked to play it safe with colors and we were trying to
open him up to trying new colors, textures and things. We had some trouble with fit and the
different sizing between men and women. Overall was a good experience client really liked
three out of the five outfits chosen. He even purchased the athleisure outfit.
Summary-Trekelia

What I loved about styling our client Aaron was how easy going it was to simply pick from the
men fashion department and getting him to step outside of his comfort box. I felt as if he
trusted the process for us in styling him. There were some difficulties in making sure we picked
the right sizes for our client and how opinionated he felt on some of the choices that weren’t
simply his taste of style; however, I understood for this particular assignment was all about
listening to one another and having a great time without carrying the unnecessary stress when
it comes to shopping for a specific occasion. I feel as if women can put a lot of pressure on
themselves to look the part, as oppose with men that may have a more laid back approach in
how they want to look and feel. Aaron loved the color combinations we selected for him and
could see himself trying to apply our styling suggestions we given him.. With it being my first
time styling a man, I enjoyed the time getting to know our client and how personal and fun we
had in exploring different wardrobe options. Overall, a great styling assignment experience!
Summary- Kimberly

I found this experience very interesting. I learned that styling men is quite different than
woman. Men can be easier because they can be more open to new ideas. But in the same way
hard because they are set in their ways of simple things they already like. I found that Arron
already knows things he likes so it is harder to sell him on new ideas such as the weekend
getaway outfit. But he did like 3 out of 5 of the outfits and did buy the athleisure outfit. I found
this assignment very rewarding and learned more about styling men and mens fashion.
