CHAPTER II

SYMMETRY, AND MODIFICATIONS IN IT TO SUIT THE SITE

1. The proportions of building with reference to a standard

are most important to an architect. Secondly the nature of
site, beauty, use and correct principles based additions or
diminution in plan are considered.
2. There are many perspectives from which a building is seen
by human eye so it needs a lot of judgement for a well
informed decision.
3. A vision alone, may lead to false impressions.

4. Thus diminution or addition should be made carefully

according to need and nature of site.
5. The first thing to do is standard of symmetry that
determines the size and lets construction follow it with
regard to keeping in the beauty of proportion .
